About
Political Narratives is a database of ideas, people, organizations, events and documents.
It is based on the "Semantic Web" ( RDF Framework ) platform and aims to be a useful source of information about politicians and the ideas they promote.
The goal is to systematize different perspectives on common political ideas and to visualize changes in politicians' views, if any.
Structure
The main element of the database is the "Relation", which is used to link all other entities and can have the following fields:
"Subject" and "Object" - e.g. a person and an idea;
"Type" - type of relation, e.g. like or dislike;
"Time" - the time interval when the relation is true;
"Reference" (object) - a pair from "Document" (object) and "Citation" (string).
Any "Relation" can have multiple "References".
Each "Reference" can be used multiple times as evidence for a "Relations".
Graphs
Each record in the database is associate with a specific "Graph", e.g. "Demo", "History", "Russia", etc.
If no specific graph is selected, the default graph will be used.
